Phyllis Sherwood (born 30 September 1937 in Niagara Falls, New York— 16 April 2007 in Davie, Florida) was an American model. She was Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for its August 1963 issue. Her centerfold was photographed by Pompeo Posar.
She was born Phyllis Sowicki.
Phyllis worked as a bookkeeper, typist and barmaid. She also worked as a Bunny at the Playboy Club in Miami.
Phyllis traded her peep-toe heels for diapers and a carpool in the late 1960s. Phyllis became a housewife, Mrs. Merrill Spivak and raised her two sons and daughter.
Later, the family moved to Chicago, then moved back to South Florida in 1996 -- this time to Davie, where she was co-owner of her husband's condo management business.
