Phylis Smith (born September 29, 1965) International Athlete sprinter from Great Britain who won an Olympic bronze medal in 4 x 400 metres relay in Barcelona 1992 and won a Commonwealth Gold Medal in the 1994 Commonwealth Games. She specialized in the 400 metres event, and had a personal best of 50.40. 8th in the individual 400metres at the Barcelona Olympics. European 400 metre bronze medallist. World Championships bronze medallist in Stuttgart - Germany. British record holder for the 400 metres indoor in 1997. Current British record holder for the 400metres relay ran at The World Championship in Tokyo 1991. Unbeaten by any British athletes over 100, 200, and 400 metres since 1992 to 1997. Competed in the 400 metres and 400 metres relay at the Atlanta Olympics.
