I removed the William Grim reference because the information written there was not true. The article (in the Iconoclast) is very obviously a parody. Just look at the Iconoclast's main page - it is unabashedly a parody site, comparable perhaps to The Onion. I take care to identify the precise issue whenever I add images and add a copyright template tag of some sort; precisely identifying the book cover is sufficient for copyright issues (I have never, thus far, uploaded any image from internal panels of a comic book, which involve more complicated copyright issues than comic book covers). You asked about my source on this character. Info came from a print interview with Louise Simonson, if I remember correctly. Marvel editorial staff was considering ways to improve New Mutants, which had middling sales and no "buzz" at the time, and decided to add "mentor" who was very different from Xavier. "Commander X" was name initially used my editorial staff, but few of them were happy with it.

The biography of the character. Filling in the first (or primary, if the "main" version isn't the original) continuity version of the character's history.

That's why DC Comics articles always list their WW II-era heroes first, even if a later version is better know. Oh, and sorry about not leaving an edit summary.
