[edit] Welcome

Hello, Phrost, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Wikipedia Boot Camp, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!

Since you seem to have an interest in martial arts, there is a WikiProject called WikiProject Martial Arts, currently quite inactive and very much in need for new contributors.

[edit] Talk:Bullshido

See the Talk page. I've protected the redirect against further attempts to subvert community consensus. Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 18:48, 31 May 2005 (UTC)

I was set to come and reply to what I thought was a genuine, reasonable message; the above indicates that it would be a waste of my time to try to explain it to you again. Too many blows to the head, perhaps. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 08:26, 4 October 2005 (UTC)

Fascinating; you remove the offensive nonsense, but leave in my comment that referred to it... pretty transparent. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 08:08, 5 October 2005 (UTC)
Transparent? Mel I'm making a sincere effort to bury the proverbial hatchet here, and you seem to keep looking for reasons to dismiss it. Try assuming some good faith for a second. Which is more likely, I'm on a jihad to harass you, or I'm a relative newbie at Wikipedia's processes and still figuring out policy and procedures? Come on now. I realize I rubbed you the wrong way, but I'm trying to do the adult thing and make good on it. If you would like a formal apology, I'm fine with that as well. --Phrost 19:48, 5 October 2005 (UTC)

Phrost. I cannot log onto Bullshido.(10/6) Is there something wrong with site? Check out the new additions to Ashida Kim page.Kenpo Tom 02:57, 7 October 2005 (UTC)

Nothing wrong with the site, the server's running my other sites just fine. According to my host, there's a DNS issue because Verio and Level3 (Internet backbone providers) are having a business dispute and a bunch of routes have been changed in the last few hours/days. Working on it now. --Phrost 16:52, 7 October 2005 (UTC)

Site's down right now, working on it. --Phrost 15:19, 11 December 2005 (UTC)

Say hello to your old enemy, but don't shoot your own foot in the process of it -- Thanks for not replying to my PM and making me feel like undesirable and inferior race. You will learn what the law of retribution is, even if i got it wrong myself. No, I did not put that notice on your front page, but I would'a loved ta. In any case, great minds think alike, and most great minds of the western world to have run the earth round were not atheists, but rather agnostic or Christian. Sorry. --Shenshuai 21:12, 14 March 2006 (UTC)

Oh, and you are MOST CERTAINLY NOT BRIGHT!! (unless you are referring to your undies). --Shenshuai 21:12, 14 March 2006 (UTC)

Actually, he is referring to a philosophical movement. -Objectivist-C 03:44, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
???? Uhh... ok then. And a healthy "lol" at trying to get my user page deleted. Yeah. --Phrost 06:30, 28 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Phrost-ferg.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Phrost-ferg.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. Stan 03:42, 23 March 2006 (UTC)

Great, now I have to figure out how to post the stupid image again. Oh well, I have a better one anyway. Wiki code sucks. --Phrost 06:34, 28 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Watchlist

Howdy. I've put both articles on my watchlist. --Fire Star 火星 19:38, 14 May 2006 (UTC)

I hope my last edit has rendered it less controversial. We don't have to say who used it first, just that it was in use by the mid-1990s. If you have a datable citation for when you first used it, that would be a good addition. It is actually helpful that there is another source for a usage of the term, IMO. --Fire Star 火星 00:57, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:WikiProject_Martial_Arts

You are listed as a participant in this Wikiproject, which appears to have ground to a halt - I'm contacting all participants to try to get things rolling again... hope you can help! -- Medains 08:53, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, Sherdog is a MMA/Sports forum. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.250.41.33 (talk) 05:46, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

"Yeah" what? I mean, by what criteria is the title of "largest" determined? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.21.205.65 (talk) 22:19, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

Big-boards.com. We're also approaching 53,000 members as of December 2007 with roughly 2000 new members a month. We are the largest general Martial Arts site by content, and the largest online general Martial Arts Community by membership and traffic. Feel free to sign your comments if you'd like to actually have a discussion. --Phrost (talk) 20:03, 28 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image

Saw you had added the image so figured it might as well go on the .net article, Something like this:[[Image:Grapptback.jpg|thumb|left|Founder [[User:Phrost|'Phrost']] Wearing A Bullshido T-shirt]] ?--Nate1481(t/c) 11:03, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

An image in an article about the site is not self-promotion, adding it to the bullshido or McDojo article could be, I was more checking to be polite as it's an image of you, rather than on policy grounds where I'm sure we're ok. --Nate1481(t/c) 16:34, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
Image done. The messaging takes a bit of getting used to and it could definitely be improved, if you get a flurry of edit from people who don't sign them and they edit each others text pulling it apart is near impossible. --Nate1481(t/c) 16:58, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
Unlikely, while not good for the look of article, the template is not uncommon. More sourcing is needed on it, on the plus side the same template can be used on self promoting MA articles, I add about 3 a week on average, adding more sources is the only way we can get rid of the reason for adding it. --Nate1481(t/c) 17:22, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
