Talk:PHP Object Generator

Hi there, I got to this page from a link from another page in wikipedia "object-relational mapping" and would vote for this page to stay... The page is brief but factual and to-the-point. A quick googling of "Php object generator" clearly shows that POG is "notable" and "verifiable". I've added a few references to the "history" portion of the article as proof..


In any case, this page is similar: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CakePHP and deals with the same subject and is deemed ok. I found the cakephp link from the same page "object-relational mapping"... if you're wondering.

As part of the Notability wikiproject, I am trying to sort out whether this topic is notable enough to have its own article. The sources that are currently given are not convincing: The two "features" on the PHP websites are very short and might even be republishing of press releases or the like. But maybe there is a different reason why this software is notable? Or maybe the content should be merged to List of object-relational mapping software, in abbreviated form?

I came here via your WP:COMPSCI notice. I personally feel that this isn't notable, and although I'm not a PHP specialist, I haven't actually come across this at all. Angus Lepper(T, C, D) 19:10, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
I found another magazine snippet of similar quality to those already referenced, but I'm not sure if these qualify as "significant coverage" in independent sources; I'd be looking for at least a full magazine article, I think. --tiny plastic Grey Knight ⊖ 11:50, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
