[edit] RFA offer
- Yes please. I've been nominated for adminship before, but have been waiting for someone to ask again as I think I've improved my standards since then and removed my Wikipedia essays some of which were unhelpful.--h i s s p a c e r e s e a r c h 22:36, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- Cool, thanks, I look forward to seeing how it goes.--h i s s p a c e r e s e a r c h 22:42, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Thanks and Happy New Year
Firstly, let me wish you a very happy New Year and thank you for your help in the Milhist Tag & Assess 2007 drive.
Secondly, although the Tag & Assess 2007 drive is now officially closed, you are very welcome to continue tagging and assessing until 31 January 2008. Any articles you tag and assess during this time will be credited fully to your tagging tally for further award purposes.
Thirdly, if you can find the time, it would be great to have your feedback/comments and participation in the recently-set-up Tag & Assess workshop The idea is to see what lessons we can learn from the 2007 drive to make the 2008 one more efficient and enjoyable.
Thanks again for your help, --ROGER DAVIES talk 10:44, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Tag & Assess 2007 is now officially over, with slightly under 68,000 articles processed. The top twenty scores are as follows:
Although the drive is officially closed, existing participants can continue tagging until January 31 if they wish, with the extra tags counting towards their tally for barnstar purposes. We'd like to see what lessons can be learned from this drive, so we've set up a feedback workshop. Comments and feedback from participants and non-particpants alike are very welcome and appreciated. |

[edit] Barnstar on my talk page?
Hey there.
I appreciate the gesture, but if your intent was to leave me a Barnstar, you've forgotten to mention a reason as a parameter to it and it's a little bit broken right now. :-) You can fix it a posteriori by editing the {{{1}}} bit that's leftover from the subst: if you want. — Coren (talk) 01:06, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] RFA thanks card
Hello, Phoenix-wiki, thank you for participating in my request for adminship, which closed successfully with 47 supports, 3 opposes, and 0 neutrals. I am glad that the community thinks it can trust me with these tools; I will try and use my new mop and bucket (or vacuum cleaner!) carefully. I would like to personally thank you for your helpful questions and comments. Camaron1 | Chris (talk) 18:05, 4 January 2008 (UTC) |

[edit] ops
Hi Phoenix-Wiki. Thank you for taking an interest in this issue of operational categories. Have you looked at the Military operations article I am rebuilding? Its a problem that has been a source of trouble for professional military theorists in English, and I have made several suggestions, but due to the way Wiki works some can not be implemented because they sound same. -- mrg3105mrg3105 23:15, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Elonka 3
Thank you for your support in my RfA. It was definitely a dramatic debate, that landed on WP:100! I paid close attention to everything that was said, and, where possible, I will try to incorporate the (constructive) criticism towards being a better administrator. I'm taking things slowly for now, partially because of the holidays and all the off-wiki distractions. :) I'm also working my way through the Wikipedia:New admin school and double-checking the relevant policies, and will gradually phase into the use of the new tools. My main goals are to help out with various backlogs, but I also fully intend to keep on writing articles, as there are several more that I definitely want to get to WP:FA status! Thanks again, and have a great new year, --Elonka 18:17, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] My userpage offensive??
I thought I could do whatever I wanted on MY OWN USER-PAGE.. but since this is evidently not so, I have changed my site to not offend anyone. And now your name is on the list too. These are all editors who look at EVERYTHING, and always has a comment or two, but hardly ever add any new information themselves. Just delete and complain. P.S: Why did you go to see my user-page, is this something you frequently do, look at user-pages that might be offensive, or was it just a coincidence? Kind Regards, KnatLouie (talk) 19:37, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

If you look at the talk page for the bot it seems to be adding a ton of "bad" articles that have to be deleted, just wanted to give you an FYI. Robot gone amok! :) -- Atamachat 18:01, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
- I ran it to create a load of Russian Geo stubs over 1 ½ months ago. I acknowledge it was bit of a bad move, as a lot of them aren't that notable and the articles aren't great.--Phoenix-wiki 20:04, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

In light of the opposes to my RfA, I have reconsidered my recall requirements. As you have opposed for this reason, I felt the need to inform you directly. -MBK004 01:47, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Hi...
That editor is a likely SPA. I think that user is actually saying that when someone reverts work as shown here, they are reverting well referenced material...but I am not alone in the reverts of his well referenced info [2], [3]. The same arguments have been coming up for along time by multiple new accounts that appear and then disappear one after another. It's rather complex unless you are dealing with the 9/11 related articles and can see it happening all the time.--MONGO 14:51, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] My RfA
Hey there, I'm writing to inform you that I have withdrawn my request for adminship, which was currently standing at 11 supports, 22 opposes and 6 neutrals. This count could have been so much better if I had understood policy, although I believe that 17 questions is a lot to ask of a user's first RfA. I will take on all comments given at the RfA and will endeavour to meet the high expectations of the RfA voters. WEBURIEDOURSECRETSINTHEGARDENplay it cool. 20:57, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Invitation
Hello. You may have seen that some Wikipedia articles lack sources to given dates, timelines and chronologies.
If you feel that you could like to help in making all articles more reliable and well sourced in this regard, we would like to encourage you to use, as part of your daily editing and when {{fact}} is not enough for requesting clearly and specifically a citation or source for dates, timeline or chronology, the following inline tags:
- {{Histfact}} displays {history source needed} for requesting sources for historical claims and history context. Click here for more information
- {{Timefact}} displays {chronology source needed} for requesting timelines, dates and chronology sources. Click here for more information
At WP Timeline Tracer, we thank you for using these tools and for helping to make Wikipedia articles more accurate and reliable.

Thanks for your support, my request for adminship passed 60/0/0 yesterday!
I want to thank Mrs.EasterBunny and Royalbroil for nominating me, those who updated the RfA tally, and everyone for their support and many kind words. To paraphrase a president ... I wish my mum and dad could see the comments made. My dad would be so proud to see the comments ... and my mum would have believed them". I will do my best to use the new tools carefully and responsibly (and you may be surprised to find that I have not deleted all of the pages by accident..... yet). [edit] Request
Hello!
I have seen that you made a request on meta wiki for illustrations of ancient siege weapons; and I decided to give it a try-some of them at least, am a bit new to graphics here on WP- and I was kindda wondering what did you have in mind? Because I did this image
and am not sure if this is what you meant, but I went ahead and used in the corresponding article, it is an illustration after all, and the article was void of images and this illustration will help the reader "see" what the article is about, or at least imagine the weapon. Your feed back on this matter is appreciated.
