[edit] Speedy
I don't know the reasoning behind the editor who put a speedy for spam on this article. It is non-notable, but not spam. May be reworked if someone feels a decent article should be made of this. If not, delete, but let's make it clear it's not for spam. If you don't understand the reasons for using speedy deletion, then don't use them.--Ivo Emanuel Gonçalves talk / contribs (join WP:PT) 03:56, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- Checkout the "reference." Let's not be naive, why was this article created? --brewcrewer (yada, yada) 03:59, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- Speedy deletion request denied. There is a source, there are assertions of notability, and the article is not spammy in tone at all. That does NOT MEAN that the article should not be deleted ever, however, there is enough here that a more careful assessment of the article needs to be done. I recommend, if deletion is sought, that an Articles for Deletion discussion be initiated. --Jayron32|talk|contribs 05:47, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Ugh
Look, I only wrote the article because I noticed that on the article entitled "progressive Christianity" there is a reference to the Phoenix Affirmations, describing them as a "statement of progressive Christian beliefs", and, having read the book, I thought an article was in order. I didn't write the article with the intent of advertizing anything; only to describe a set of affirmations that are mentioned in another article. All I did in the article was say who created the affirmations, what their nature is (namely, it being theologically progressive), and what the affirmations themselves are. What was wrong with the reference? I cited it correctly, no? Is it that there's only one reference? Well, if so, then know that the book in question is where the affirmations come from. If something needs to be added to the article to make it more adequate, then that's what Wikipedia is for. Get off my back. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ashiman12 (talk • contribs) 04:06, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
