From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Phosphorylcholine is a molecule secreted by the seminal vesicle which has a molecular weight of 184.151. It is also used in Proclear® and Biomedics® XC contact lenses from CooperVision to help keep the contacts moist.
Phosphorylcholine combines with ceramide through a phosphodiester bond to create sphingomyelin, an important compound in the formation of the myelin sheath.
