Phokeng, North West, South Africa. This is the capital of Royal Bafokeng kings from the 1600s till to date. Phokeng (Phoka: Sesotho word for dew hence the name "place of dew") was named so because Bafokeng tribe was traveling from Lesotho in summer and were in North West areas in winter time when there was dew in the morning. They have since became part of the Batswana tribe and their totem is a crocodile, and they refer to each as 'kwena or 'mokwena' meaning 'crocodile'.
