[edit] Summary

Description

The 1970 PhotoFly meet that I arranged in the hills of Norco, California. The image is of a print I published in Low & Slow where I gathered an elite group. Volmer Jensen found the hill that would fit the photo arrangement that I wanted. Shown in the photograph Christopher Talbot-Jones (topmost biplane Icarus that he built from scratch, Taras Kiceniuk (and I believe his buddy Tom Dickenson), Volmer Jensen, Irv Culver (key theorist) in front of the monoplane thick-wing (aerofoil designed by Irv Culver) VJ-23 Swingwinghang glider with controls, Dick Eipper, Mr. Kiceniuk, Lloyd Licher and his Lloyd's wife (I believe), Frank Colver of Orange County, CA, with a half-sailed advanced sailwing with tight cover;, other two with Taras(?) Historical note about Volmer Jensen: In 1940 he made and flew a three-axis control biplane hang glider VJ-11 which is not in the photo.
