User talk:Philip Taron/Archive
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hi Philip, welcome to Wikipedia! Your idea of listing the Five solas in a separate article seems logical, but you might consider consolidating information from other articles that already list some or all of the Solas - such as Protestantism and Calvinism. One way to find these references is to go to the two Sola articles (at least, that I'm aware of), Sola fide and Sola scriptura, and use the "What links here" button to see the numerous existing references. - Still hasn't sunk in, heh. Thank you! Philip Taron 11:06, 8 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Note:
I'm deleting the copyright violation on the article of Needles and Pins. I was not aware that words of songs were not allowed on articles. However someone informed me they weren't, so the words were deleted. Now that there are no words on the article, the notice may not be needed to be put on there. Besides, I didn't get the words of that site anyway, off another site... Thanks for being watchful though, but this isn't an actual crisis. Regards, Spawn Man 08:17, 20 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Image tagging for Image:Philip.Taron.Portrait.in.System.Shock.2.manner.by.KGT.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Philip.Taron.Portrait.in.System.Shock.2.manner.by.KGT.jpg. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

[edit] User ID
Hi Philip. I saw your question on Cyde's talk page. You can find your User ID by going to special:preferences (that link is also available at the top of the screen, between "my talk" and "my contributions") and looking at the second line from the top. Picaroon 02:44, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Replaceable fair use Image:Grant_Bristow.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Grant_Bristow.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 7 days after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast 14:48, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Replaceable fair use Image:Lia_Menna_Barreto.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Lia_Menna_Barreto.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, fair use media which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if not used in an article), per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. – Quadell (talk) (random) 23:42, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:BehindTheSun.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:BehindTheSun.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 07:31, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
