[edit] Englefield, Berkshire
Hi there! I noticed you'd made an edit to Englefield, Berkshire, correcting some inaccuracies, I thought it best to let you know that the 870 page makes the same claims, and as you appear much more knowledgable than me about these things I thought it best to let you know about it :) Cheers, Joolz 17:52, 29 July 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Global cities
Hey Philip, I noticed your changes to the City page. I agree with some of what you said but I do think Mumbai still should be there, for example http://www.city-regions.de/ I'm not 100% sure but I personlly think KL should be there too, a quick search found this site that would support [1] and this that probably doesn't [2]
Is there a defined qualification to get the moniker of 'global city'? Regards, SeanMack 15:26, 29 July 2005 (UTC)
Hi Sean. Thanks for the comment and the link. I think it's seductive to say that Mumbai is a "global city". For the rich, I suppose it is. For the majority of its population, it certainly isn't. But it's fair enough to include it. KL, well, if you really think so, no worries. I was really just concerned that anons would rock up, add their favourite city, feeling piqued it wasn't on the list, without actually reading the discussion. But I'm not so hardcore about it that I would revert a clearly good-faith edit. BTW, you put your comment on my user page. I don't mind, of course (although you made my redlink go blue, unfortunately), but others might snap at you for it. Philip Arthur 01:16, 30 July 2005 (UTC)
- Hey again. Major apologies for editing in the wrong place - it's not like me, I've moved everything to here but I see the red link doesn't go back... Bit of a gaff I'm afraid. Regarding the cities I'll just put Mumbai back in but not KL. I take your point, could end up being quite a list there if people got competitve about things. Again sorry for the bad edit. [edit] SCUM Manifesto
RE: my "ignoring" your claims:- I'm not finding you pleasant to deal with - you keep insinuating that I'm not important, that I don't know anything about wikipolicy, insisting that I do things in your edit summaries, and refusing to speak to my arguments (rather just trying to shoot me down). Can you tone it down a tad? It doesn't have to be this hard. An An 04:22, 1 August 2005 (UTC) p.s. I've put this on your talk instead of the SCUM page so you can remove it if you like. - No, not really. You just appear to be another newbie trying to provoke a dispute about something controversial about which he knows little. An An 12:02, 5 August 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Preschools
Presumably it might but the same could be said for Village Preschool of Saratoga.Gateman1997 06:40, 10 August 2005 (UTC)
