I see this page has been flagged. I wasn't the author, and I think the intent on the authors part is noble as the Philippines has a lot of "heroes" in it's short span of independence compared to say, other longer written of countries and their much shorter "hero" database. Might I recommend that the author or someone further categorize this list to describe in more detail the heroic nature of these people. Perhaps as well, it might be best to resist naming Philippine presidents as heroes, lest everyone become a hero.Joaquin Kline 11:03, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Former AFD nomination is here:

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Philippine National Heroes. The version nominated is here: Old Version. User:Lenticel was able to find official sources and cut the article back to only include them. Where's that Barnstar... - Richfife 17:14, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] There are only nine National Heroes

Please do not add more Philippine Heroes here. Only nine people are proclaimed by law as Philippine National Heroes. --Lenticel (talk) 04:04, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
