[edit] Review by biographer

Julie Summers is a grand-daughter and has written a biography of Philip Toosey. This article was reviewed by her on 27 September 2006 at my request and after minor adjustments, was accepted. JMcC 10:07, 27 September 2006 (UTC) and JMcC 20:07, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Further info requested

Surely there ought to be something about how Pierre Boulle latched on to the story in the first place and wrote his satirical tract, which became the basis for the film? There isn't one real mention of The Bridge over the River Kwai at all in this article aside from the lead. -- Harlsbottom (talk|library) 14:45, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

Perhaps Boulle's motivation could be described in the articles: Bridge over the River Kwai, Bridge on the River Kwai and Pierre Boulle, but this article is about the real events at Tamarkan. How and why someone wrote a work of fiction is not relevant to the life of Philip Toosey. JMcC (talk) 16:36, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
