[edit] Philip J. Fry named after?

I just caught this: the main character of Futurama is called Philip J. Fry. Did the writers intend to name him after Corso? Have Groening or Cohen said anything about this? Cromulent Kwyjibo (talk) 17:58, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
