Save the page, it is valid. Let it stand for a few weeks to see if others can make it better. It is not spam, there is no direct link to buying their CD or anything directly on this page. It's legit.

RE: 1. It has been the subject of multiple non-trivial published works whose source is independent from the musician/ensemble itself and reliable. This criterion includes published works in all forms, such as newspaper articles, books, magazine articles, and television documentaries.

RE: 9. Has won or placed in a major music competition.

• The Emergenza Festival has its own wikipedia article. The band placed second there [1].
• The Philadelphia City Paper has its own wikipedia article, and the band won best local band in the city. Also amongst the winners were the University of Pennsylvania and The Ritz Carlton among others -- a legit "best-of", if you ask me [2].
