A police buff here, but not from Philadelphia; anyone with more info on this unit is encouraged to lengthen the article, especially in regards to the HP's status as a hyper-elite unit in the 1960s and its present-day status. The PPD website gives no information on this unit -- is it more secretive now, or possibly defunct? Sol. v. Oranje 20:39, 22 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Highway still exists, it is listed on the PPD site. I don't much about them either except their cars were numbered beginning with X, and I think they used to be based out of the same building as the 7th.RobTalk 04:34, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
I read the article a little more closely, I don't know if the unit was disbanded.RobTalk 04:36, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
