[edit] Premise
The game follows the fights of a space-jet squadron led by Nicollard Michau aboard the UNF-Galant. A recently inhabited alien planet named 220 reports a devastating attack by an unknown force and requires assistance; Alpah and Bravo teams are called in, but do not respond. The player assumes the role of Charlie and Delta pilots Michau and the nicknamed pilot 'D3' in an attempt to netueralize the unknown threat, only to discover a horrible secret hidden deep in the planet.

Capt. Nicollard Michau - The game's main character and leader of Charlie and Delta Flight. She apparently has a record of successful missions with few casualties.
'D3' - The game's secondary character and rookie pilot with his rescue mission of 220 being his very first mission alongside Charlie Flight.
Capt. Lang - Delta Flight leader and well trusted pilot amongst Michau's ranks.
Lt./Com. Karen Renox - Pilot aboard Delta Flight who assisted in D3's training.
Kurt - Survivor of Alpha team who assists Charlie Flight in the second stage.
Klaus - Survivor of Alpha team who assists Charlie Flight in the second stage.
ALICE - UNF-Galant's battle AI that assists in all flight teams in providing battle statistics, co-ordinates, enemy information and ship modes.

The game's soundtrack was composed by Kō Ōtani, who also composed the music for Shadow of the Colossus, a variety of Gamera films, and various anime.
