Four veterans of the 2003 SEA Games and 12 rookies make up the national training pool from which 12 will be chosen to play in the SEABA tournament slated October in Phuket, Thailand.

Joan Grajales of University of Iloilo, Che Lubiano of UP, Emelia Vega of Adamson and Susie Bambico of FEU – who all played during the Vietnam SEAG – banner the national pool which also include newcomers Fil-Japanese Machiko Matsuno and Pixie Valencia of Lyceum, Pipay Villanueva, Kristine Chua, Em Matreo, and 6-footer Cassandra Tioseco of Ateneo, Diana Rose Jose, Chovi Borja and AA Adriano of Far Eastern University, Ewon Arayi, and Amby Almazan of Adamson and Fil-American Vicki Brick, who played collegiately at U.S. NCAA Division I school University of Maryland.
