Philippine Normal University or PNU is a University in Manila, Philippines. Established in 1901 by the Americans as the Philippine Normal School, it was originally an institution for the training of teachers. It is located in the Ermita Dictrict. Situated in Manila's premier civic center, where the Manila City Hall, Rizal Park and National Museum of the Philippines are also located. Throughout its more than 100 years of existence it spurred four more campuses around the country. These are the Cadiz City, Agusan del Sur, Quezon, and Isabela campuses.
