The Next Level

Philip 'Taylor' Sneed is the rhythm guitarist, backup vocalist, and one of the songwriters for St. Louis post-hardcore/Punk rock band Story of the Year (formerly known as Big Blue Monkey). Phil, who grew up on country music, graduated from Lindbergh High School in 1999, and is married to a woman named Katrina.[citation needed] In 1995, he formed a band called Sound Advice (who would later change their name to Maybe Today), and played many shows in St. Louis alongside various bands containing future members of Story of the Year. When Big Blue Monkey was formed, they and Maybe Today often toured together. Shortly after Big Blue Monkey changed their name to Story of the Year, guitarist Greg Haupt left the band to pursue separate interests, and in 2003, Philip left Maybe Today to take Haupt's spot in Story of the Year.[1][2]

Phillip also performed with the band Saosin doing fill-in vocals during the 10th Vans Warped Tour after singer Anthony Green abruptly left the band.[citation needed]
