Philip Benedict Joseph Petre, 15th Lord Petre (1864–1908), was an English baron. The Ginge Petre Charity survived the death of Canon Last in 1892, and the incumbency of Edmund Meyer (1892–1904). Roderick Grant then succeeded Meyer. By 1906 the annual income of the Charity stood at £184, and the pensioners each received 18s 6d at Christmas (£56-45 today), instead of the allowance for the livery which they had hitherto been obliged to wear; £1 per month throughout the year; coal fives times a year; and a supply of faggots. The coal was the private gift of Lord Petre, and was given to the elderly of all denominations in Ingatestone.
