Philadelphia Slick is a ten-piece hip hop ensemble band, fronted by rapper Noesis, formed in 2005. Keyboardist Zach Reilly is the main producer for the band, which also includes rapper Mike Tjader, and keyboardist Marc Kaplan. Mike Polinsky plays bass, Yoomi Kown cello, and Ann Goering on viola handle the strings. Adam Hersh on trumpet, Matt Schwartz playing the saxophone and Elliot Garland on drums round out the band.

Noesis himself has released four studio albums, but the group's first venture came out in late 2007. Also in 2007 Philadelphia Slick took home first prize in the Philly Sound Clash, a competition sponsored by PhillyCarShare at World Café Live. In 2006, Philadelphia Slick played the Emergenza Festival with performances at The Fire, The Five Spot, and The North Star Bar. The finals were held at the Theater of the Living Arts, where Noesis was named “Best Vocalist” [1].

In 2007 the band was the winner of the Philadelphia City Paper's Reader's Choice award for Top Local Band [2].

They have shared the stage with Pharoahe Monch, Last Emperor, Percee P, Reef the Lost Cauze, Nouveau Riche, Juggaknots, Subliminal Orphans, Mellow Veneer, Taylor McFerrin and Dr. K's Motown Review.
