Phil the Alien is a Canadian comedy film, released in 2004. It was written and directed by Rob Stefaniuk, who also starred as the titular Phil. Phil is an extraterrestrial who crash-lands in a small town in Northern Ontario. He befriends a talking beaver (played by Joe Flaherty), and adopts the persona and mannerisms of a stereotypical Canadian hoser to hide from a military general who is trying to capture him. He eventually joins a local rock band as a singer, and is chased by an assassin (Nicole deBoer) as he and the band go out on tour. The film's cast also includes Graham Greene and Ingrid Veninger.
