Phil Lines

Phil Lines has an extensive background in television sport and new media. In broadcasting Phil has worked for the BBC, Granada and United Broadcasting & Entertainment. He has handled sports rights at both ISL (Olympic & World Cup) and FOCA (Formula One & World Rally Championship). Phil ran the world’s first television sports news service when at Visnews (now Reuters TV). In new media Phil helped set up Worldsport.com and ITV-football.co.uk. Now, as Head of International Broadcasting and Media Operations at the FA Premier League, Phil works closely with Chief Executive Richard Scudamore and is involved in a wide range of media activities including television, radio, premierleague.com, mobile, still images, data and rights. He began his career as a sports journalist and holds an MSc in Media Management.
