Philip John 'Phil' Crump (born 9 February 1952) in Mildura, Australia[1]is a former motorcycle speedway rider who attained 3rd place in the 1976 World Championship. He also won the World Team Cup with Australia in the same year.
Phil Crump is the father of two time World Champion Jason Crump. Crump senior was riding for the Newport Wasps speedway team when Jason was born. The Crump family had a home in Bristol while Phil was racing in the British League.
Phil Crump also rode for Crewe Kings, Bristol Bulldogs and the Swindon Robins during his British career.
He is currently a senior member of Jason's Speedway Grand Prix support team and is a highly regarded engine tuner.
