• No free equivalent is available or could be created since this is a copyrighted logo.

We cannot replace this nor create our own version of a logo of long-standing bank for the purposes of wikipedia. This logo is a common sign in Manila, but might be of encyclopedic interest to thos not really familiar with it. IF deleting this content is necessary, then probably all bank logos should be deleted as well, which to my opinion would greatly devalue wikipedia articles.

This is the current corporate logo belonging to Philippine Trust Company, used to discuss that company in the article Philtrust Bank. It was obtained from http://www.bancnet.net/mb/equal/ptc.html . Use of the logo in the article complies with Wikipedia non-free content policy, logo guidelines, and fair use under United States copyright law as follows. The logo is used solely for purposes of identification and critical commentary on a subject of public interest. Because it is a logo there is no free equivalent, and the entire logo must be used to convey the meaning and avoid misrepresenting the company's corporate branding. As a logo it is significant because it helps the reader identify the company, assures the reader that they have reached the right article, and illustrates the company's intended branding message in a way that words alone could not convey.
