Phenylisothiocyanate

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Phenylisothiocyanate (PITC) is a reagent used in reversed phase HPLC. PITC is less sensitive than o-phthaladehyde (OPA) and cannot be fully automated. PITC can be used for analysing secondary amines, unlike OPA.
