[edit] Images
There is a person who is vandalsing my page and is saying nasty comments to me. This is what his response when I asked him why he was doing it:
- I didn't check to see if other user pages were using it. Thank you for pointing that out. I'm pretty laissez-faire in my opinions of what should go in the User namespace, but fair use images absolutely don't belong there. Thanks for being patient with me while I go uglifying your user page. :-P —BorgHunter
Thanks for your help!
Wikizach Wikizach 22:47, 15 January 2006 (UTC)
- To be fair, Wikizach, that was a joke. Also, I would hardly term what I was doing vandalism—I wouldn't make a very good admin if I went around vandalizing things. In any case, Pharos, sorry to bother you with all this mess. —BorgHunter alt (talk) 23:23, 15 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Am I ready yet?
When I first got here, you helped me learn how to use Wikipedia. Now I ask of you, will you now nominate me to be an admin>? WikieZach 21:44, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] vote here
exscuse me but also Muriel has done this trying to get people to delete this article important for a monarchic branch. This is democratic encyclopedia and so this page has right to stay here : Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Rosario Poidimani (3 nomination). Regards, M.deSousa 24 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks
Hi Pharos — Thanks for reacting appropriately to MrVoluntarist's remark on the Main Page's talk. I'm still trying to swallow this user's behaviour. I know I shouldn't, but I was quite hurt by it (I was happy and relaxed, and just trying to be nice; in other circumstances I wouldn't have cared). Thanks to you my level of wikistress didn't jump as high as it could have :-) Take care, Hillel 04:53, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] re Peter Green image
Hi Pharos:
The Peter Green image that was up;oaded is from an album cover. I know that there is a special copyright code for those, but am not sure where to fond it. Maybe on another album cover? Carptrash 00:44, 1 February 2006 (UTC)

Reverting someone's edit the first time certainly does count as a revert. If I'm wrong on this, please point me to a policy page that states so. Thanks for blocking. Who removed the semi-protection, this article gets slaughtered by reverts and socks every time the semi-protection is lifted. It needs to be restored. Babajobu 07:19, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
- Okay, thanks again. Please consider restoring the semi-protection of the page, that functionality is absolutely ideal for this instance, and the policy page is very clear that we can semiprotect pages linked from front page when necessary. Babajobu 07:59, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Gowanus Canal
I've been working here-and-there on the article. I've made some progress and I'm still very interested in your opinions. Thanks! --Howrealisreal 21:39, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Mary Kay Letourneau
Hi Pharos,
The picture I added is not a copy of somebody else's work. I created the bars myself and imposed them on an image. The new image conveys its own, original meaning that qualifies as a collage, a unique work of art. Anyway, thank you for finding a copyright-free picture of Mary Kay Letourneau. It fits an encyclopedia entry better than mine. I was reluctant to add it to begin-with, as it is not neutral with respect to discussed issues that are, as its turning out, quite controversial. [edit] reverted ur change
Hi, just a friendly note to let you know that I have reverted your change to DYK with the edit summary "(revert - it is an interesting fact , and pls. do not change something after the creator is notified)". It is not a stub and according to the current DYK norms, it can be featured. I am trying to bring diversity to DYK features; in the next update, SS Kosciuzko (I hope I haven't mis-spelt it) would be featured. --Gurubrahma 05:41, 7 February 2006 (UTC)
- Oh, I just saw ur msg. According to current DYK norms, any article above 1 KB is eligible and it does not prohibit lists. I am planning to set up a word limit between 300-500 words shortly, after throwing the idea for discussion. --Gurubrahma 05:41, 7 February 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for your understanding. I am working on and thinking about the changes to propose and would open them up for scrutiny, latest by the end of the month. --Gurubrahma 06:06, 7 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Marc H. Ellis
Hi Pharos,
I just finished a bio of Marc H. Ellis. Can you please find his uncopyrighted image and add it to that article? Thanks. David Cruise 19:57, 8 February 2006 (UTC).
Hi Pharos,
Thank you very much with your help with the Marc H. Ellis picture.
Best Wishes,
David Cruise 21:17, 8 February 2006 (UTC).
[edit] The Nation
Hey Pharos, I'm wondering if you might want to offer a vote, or at least a comment, regarding the issue of whether "The Nation" name space should be the article about the U.S. periodical or a disambiguation page. You can contribute your thoughts here: Talk:The Nation#Article title. Thank you and take care. --Howrealisreal 02:13, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Adolfo Farsari
Hi Pharos, Would you mind reading this article on Adolfo Farsari and suggesting on the featured article candidate page whether you think its worthy of featured article status or not? No worries if not, but I'd like your sage commentary. Thanks. Pinkville 23:56, 11 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image help - urgent
Image:Manezhnaya.jpg - This image page did not show the image in edit mode and hence I uploaded it and put {{C-uploaded}}. However, I cannot see the template displayed properly. Can you check and see why it is not displaying. TIA, --Gurubrahma 17:20, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks a ton, couldn't figure it out in the mad rush to update DYK. --Gurubrahma 18:32, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
