When I create links on the pages I make they (sometimes) point the wrong way. For example Atlantis sends the readers to the mythic continent - not the Sun Ra album. Evidence goes to a disambiguation page - not Sun Ra's record label. Is it any way I can "program" the link to send the user to the right page?

Yes, you can do it like this:
[[Atlantis (Sun Ra album)|Atlantis]]. I don't know what article it is that you're trying to link Evidence to, but the format would be the same. Basically, whatever comes on the left side of the | is where the user will go and whatever goes on the right side of the | is what shows up in the article. --Dante Alighieri | Talk 20:49, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

Thanks a lot. That was fast.

[edit] sun ra discog

the sun ra discog will be a painful process, but i'm willing to help at a reasonable pace. i suggest you check the talk page for a link to the biggest sun ra discog that i know of. i'll be checking the discog page and adding to it (as well as working on the other discog projects i have going) when i have the free time. furthermore when you create an album article it is important to add all possible info that you can find into the article. i noticed that the Visions aricle has its picture deleted. when you upload an album cover place this tag: {{albumcover}} verbatim, and a link to where on the internet you found the image, if you scanned the image yourself than state that, all this info goes in the "summary" section of the image upload page. --AlexOvShaolin 17:53, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your opinion would be greatly appreciated

Hello there, I am a fellow member of Wikiproject jazz. I was wondering, if you had a moment to spare, if you would be willing to give your opinion on a matter at Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2007 June 15 concerning a category I created. The category is [[Category:Jazz musicians of New Orleans]], and it has been proposed that the article be merged with Musicians of New Orleans and American jazz musicians. This is precisely why I created the category, because it seemed to me the birthplace of jazz music and continous modern symbol of jazz certainly deserves a category unto itself. Regardless of your opinion, I would greatly appreciate your input there so as to have a discussion over the matter. Thanks. (Mind meal 03:24, 15 June 2007 (UTC))

[edit] New categories for jazz musicians

Hello fellow member of Wikipedia:WikiProject Jazz! I am delivering this message to all members of the project to inform them of a major addition to the evolution of this project. Please see Category:Jazz musicians by genre to familiarize yourselves with the new categories for jazz musicians. Most of the genre categories contain sub-genres in their drop-down menus, so be sure to open them up! I am sending this to everyone to speed up the population of these categories. The sub-genres have been carefully researched to ensure they belong under their corresponding "mother genre"! And please, when in doubt do not categorize something via an assumption. Well, that about covers it! Any help in this regard will be greatly appreciated.(Mind meal 05:40, 25 June 2007 (UTC))
