[edit] Voting

Hi there. Welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like it here and stick around. If you want, you can drop us a note at Wikipedia:New user log to introduce yourself. Before you start doing a lot of editing, you might want to take the Tutorial. It gives a lot of basic info you'll want to get you oriented on Wikipedia.

You can sign your name on talk pages by using three tildes (" ~~~ ") for your username and four (" ~~~~ ") for your username and a timestamp.

If you intended to add a vote for Rhode Island to the US Collaboration of the Week, you did not. To add your vote, edit that section of the page and add a pound sign followed by four tildes (# ~~~~). This will translate into the next number in sequence, followed by your username and a timestamp.

If you have any other questions about the project then check out Wikipedia:Help or add a question to the Help desk. You can also drop me a question on my talk page.

Happy editing, Cmadler 13:34, 8 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] New Zealand mud snail

The New Zealand Portal's list of interesting facts, "Did you know.." has been updated. A fact from the article New Zealand mud snail, which you created, has been featured in that section. Thank you for your work.-gadfium 23:20, 13 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Deleting references

Hello, please do not delete references (as you did here) just because the link may have moved. This is against Wikipedia policy, since there is indeed no requirement whatsoever that verifiable sources be accessible online (they are permitted to be print sources for instance). A link to an online article is provided as a convenience to aid readers and editors. However, links to articles often change in time: an article may have been archived, or page may have moved, or any number of other possibilities. Rather than delete the entire reference, consider marking it with a {{deadlink}} template or locating a fresh link to the article in question. For more information about Wikipedia policy regarding dead links in references, see Wikipedia:Citing sources#What to do when a reference link "goes dead". Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. Silly rabbit (talk) 19:04, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
