The term "strategic toolkit" is certainly used (with various meanings), but this article is primarily about "STEP LEDGE", with some redundant information on SWOT and PEST analysis. I never heard of STEP LEDGE, and I get nothing on a Google search for "STEP LEDGE tool" or "STEP LEDGE analysis". Davejblair created this article with no references, then inserted this article in the See also sections of numerous other articles. He's redirected "PEST analysis" back into this article. This is disruptive and isn't helping Wiki readers. This article is being used for self-promotion. --SueHay 21:43, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
STEP LEDGE is a mnemonic - an aide memoire for the key components of macroevnironmental analysis. This article uses the mnemonic to show how macroenvironmental factors contribute to SWOT (itself a mnemonic) analysis. I believe that STEP LEDGE goes far beyond the contribution made in [PEST analysis. The article is unfinished as additional tools must be added to fill the toolbox. Self-promotion not the aim and materials are based on secondary and verifiable sources.Davejblair 01:54, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
