Pharis Aboobacker

Pharis Aboobacker is an Indian businessman. In 2006, he was the former chairman of DEEPIKA involved in the National Kidney Foundation Singapore scandal. A friend of then CEO of the National Kidney Foundation Singapore (NKF), T. T. Durai, he was involved in several companies dealing with the NKF. These companies include Protonweb and Forte, which were paid even though they did not fulfill its contractual duties.[1]

As a result, Aboobacker was sued to recover the SGD 5.28 million to three of his firms.[2]
