Phantom Pain is a melodic death metal/metalcore band originating from Rehovoth, Israel.

The band was formed by vocalist/guitarist Dor Midlash and drummer Adam Shattenstein who met each other in Dor's music class in high school.
After just one show, the band was put into a 2 year hiatus following Dor's mandatory army service.
After the long break, Guy Bernstein was added as a guitarist, and together they recorded their first single "Merciless". 4 Months later the band comeback on stage, and started to get back into the Israeli metal scene.

In 2006, the band parted from its bass player Ohad Ellert, and welcomed his replacement Asaf Wolf, which evantually left the band after a very intensive year. Asaf's replacement was Andrei Aframov (from Inner Scream).

The band is currently finished working on its first EP, titled "The Hypocrite" which was produced and mixed by guitarist and producer Daniel Varfolomeyev (Acropolis and will be released soon.[1]
