PG-MACS is a Multi Application Cargo Solution. Created by the family firm PG Marine Group - Ing Per Gjerdrum AS.[1]
It is flexible below-decks cargo handling solution for all dry- and liquid bulk loads, including drill cuttings and rig slops in marine transport. It has significantly less power consumption both at rig and vessel compared to any other process to resolve same applications. It eliminate all crane-handling from rig to vessel and personnel exposure to hazardous cargo which increase the HES-profile both related to personnel and external environment. It release deck-space for transport of other pay-load, as traditional containers and skips are replaced by below-deck tanks. It has high loading / discharge rates secure minimum time for vessel-at-rig for reduced risk, and in turn reduced CO2-emmisions. It improved ship flexibility with combination tanks for liquid- and dry- cargos; and significant improvement of vessels capacity to carry Recovered Oil from oil spillages. The international operating, reknown Shipowners have already implemented the solution, and PG experience extreme interests from all worlds corners - not least from South America, Gulf of Mexico and the North Sea.
