[edit] Speedy deletion of SurveyEngine

A tag has been placed on SurveyEngine, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit] February 2008

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with SurveyEngine. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Mysdaao talk 16:39, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Conflict of interest guideline

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam);
    and you must always:
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially neutral point of view, verifiability, and autobiography.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Business' FAQ. For more details about what constitutes a conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Conflict of Interest. Thank you. Addhoc (talk) 17:12, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] SurveyEngine

I wasn't the editor who deleted the article, I'm not even an admin who can. I placed a speedy deletion tag on the original article when it was first posted because at that time the article was written as an advertisement, with no external references or sources to back it up as a notable article. That was the last I said in the matter, looking back a couple of days later, it seemed to have been referenced and sourced. The discussion monitoring the deletion of the article is here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/SurveyEngine. Hope this helps. Oh - and can you please sign your name using four ~ when commenting on talk pages. Thanks.--Eastlygod (talk) 11:12, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] WP:AIV report of User:Addhoc

Hi. You reported User:Addhoc to WP:AIV for what appears to be a dispute over his deletion of an article you created. Please note that this is not the manner to go about resolving your issue as your complaint obviously does not meet the conditions printed at the top of AIV. In the future, please speak with the user on their talk page and attempt to resolve the issue there. Further reports of established users for vandalism could be considered disruptive. Thank you, SorryGuy  Talk  06:45, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for making a report at Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn against, and report vandalism. Your report was not a case of obvious vandalism, and as a result, the user has not been blocked and the request may have been removed from the page. Next time please use Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents for reporting a complex abuse or refer to Wikipedia:Resolving disputes if you have a dispute with the user. Thank you. [edit] Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button Image:Signature_icon.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 02:48, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
