Pezedo is an Italian surname. Origin: Pezedo documented in 1356 from the History of the Agor Dino by Don P. Temis. In 1580 to Pecce; 1607 to Pecei; (seen in 1701 asPezei); ending up in 1615 as Pezze, all derived from a village. Picetum is Latin for "forest of firs."
note: Pezedo is a regional dialect rendering of Picetum. Not just a cold translation but carrying the connotation of a people. Therefore, "Those who dwell among the forest of firs."
