Peyman Yazdanian (Persian: پیمان یزدانیان , born 1968) is an Iranian musician, composer, piano player, and film score composer.

He was born in Tehran in 1968 and graduated from Sharif University of Technology with major in Industrial Engineering.

He started learning piano at age 6, and in 1998 he ranked 1st in the French Musical Exam. He composed more than 20 scores for Iranian prestigious movie directors such as Abbas Kiarostami, Kamal Tabrizi. He also composed music for Abbas Kiarostami's short film Birth of Life for opening ceremony of Locarno International Film Festival.

As a composer, he has written more than forty pieces for the piano and some of them have been performed in Paris.

He has composed for a number of feature films:

  • “And Along Came a Spider” by Maziar Bahari,
  • “The White Nights” by Farzad Motamen,
  • “The Wind Carpet” & “Sometimes look at the sky” & “A Piece of Bread” by Kamal Tabrizi,
  • “The Fatherhood Village” by Rasoul Mollagholipour,
  • “The Tradition of Lover Killing” & “A Place in Far Distance” by Khosro Masumi,
  • “The Soldiers of Friday” by Masood Kimiai,
  • “The Picture of A Lady From Far away” by Ali Mosaffa and
  • “A Night” & “Few days later” by Niki Karimi,
  • “Firework Wednesday” by Asghar Farhadi.

He has also worked for few foreign featured films like “Summer Palace” (2006-China, France) by Lou Ye (Official selection In the Competition, Cannes film film festival 2006), “La Fine del Mare” (2005-Germany, France) by Nora Hoppe, “Man Push Cart” (2005-USA), “Forbidden Chapter” (2004-Italy, France), “Waken Rules” (2006-Germany).

His first Cd was released by Hermes Records in Tehran with the name, “Themes” (2002). His second Cd with the same publisher in Tehran as "Second Take"(2004)

Recently, he won the First prize of the 5th Olympia film festival (December 2002) in Greece for the best Original Sound Track of the film “The Little Birdboy”(Dir:Rahbar Ghanbari).
