The school also has many co-curricular opportunities such as Art Club, Drama Club, Forensics, Math Counts, LEGOS/Robotics, Honors Choir, River Keepers, and many other activities.

Many of the activities that were once thought of as "extras" have become part of the curriculum. For example, LEGOS, Drama, and Forensics are all to become classes in the 2007-2008 school year.

The middle school switched to an every-other-day (a A and B day) block schedule in the 2006-2007 school year. This has five 70 minute long classes and 30 minute long resource/study hall period at the end of the day. A typical student's schedule will have a Math and English class every day. Science, Social Studies, Gym, and three other electives fill up the rest of the schedule. These last six classes rotate every other day, three on A days, and the other three on B days.

Electives that are offered include:
Band - separate 7th and 8th grades
Choir - several different choirs
Asa Enterprises - an introductory course to business

[edit] Pewaukee High School

Within the district, PHS holds the largest number of students and faculty during the day. The school was refaced several years ago and has instituted a large network of computers, smartboards, and projectors. Academically, the school has also committed itself to online classes, such as introductory C++, Java, Latin, AP World History, and several other courses. The Foreign Languages department (French and Spanish) has quite a large following and is well-developed for a school this size, with three full-time teachers and one part-time teacher.

PHS is a Division 3 school in sports. They have a baseball field, a football field, and a newly constructed soccer field. Recently, the Cross Country team went to state. The Boys' Basketball team advanced far into the playoffs last year, and the Football team made the 2007 playoffs. In 2008, the Pom-Poms team came in first place in state within their division.

In Academic Decathlon, PHS is considered a Division 2 school. In the 2006-2007 school year (topic was China), their team placed 3rd at the Milwaukee Regionals, advancing 6th in the state. At the 2007 State competition, Pewaukee Acadec ranked 8th in Wisconsin; however, they took the 1st place state title for Division 2. In the 2007-2008 school year (topic was the Civil War, the team placed 3rd at the Milwaukee Regionals, keeping their place from the previous year. At State, they placed 3rd overall, winning the state division title again, and beating out much larger districts like Wilmot Union. After also placing 3rd in the Super Quiz Oral Relay and Overall Super Quiz, they are looking for another division title this next school year.
