I have removed this sentence because it seemed to be POV:

"The build quality was a big step forward over previous models."

However, if it can be substantiated (e.g. by customer satisfaction surveys) then it should be reinstated. SamH 13:54, 4 Oct 2004 (UTC)

hehe as an owner of both 205s and 206s, there is no comparison in terms of build quality. The 206 is vastly superior by an order of magnitude. Sjc 10:54, 2 Nov 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Citroën version

I think the picture http://news.caradisiac.com/IMG/jpg/Citroen_206.jpg was modified based on a real 206.

  • Seems it was not the case. Hektor 09:26, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 4-door sedan version

4-door sedan version is not available in mainland China. The only version that is in production now in mainland China is 5-door hatchback with 1.6 L petrol engines. I have no idea if the sedan version is selling in Taiwan.

on the other hand, 4-door sedan version IS available in Serbia, should be listed imo 77.105.54.175 (talk) 00:31, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] The "problems" area has problems

It starts out ok but by the end it reads like an advertisement for that club that's linked.

Agreed. The mention should either be removed or rephrased in a better way. Nbettencourt 12:46, 13 April 2006 (UTC)

Its relative importance on this page suggests that problems are its major distinction and thus contradicts my experience of the car. This seems to me to be the unsubstantiated POV of a dissatisfied customer who perhaps thinks that most 206 drivers will agree with him or her. As an unqualifiedly happy driver of a 206, this is diametrically opposite to my opinion and that of many other 206 drivers whom I know to be equally as offended as I am by its presence here at all.

[edit] Limited editions models?

Is it worth creating extra pages for limited editions of the 206, or just adding them to the main page?

[edit] Removed problems statement

This paragraph was added by an anonymous contributor. However, with the statements it makes, it definitely needs to be sourced: Bob talk 13:56, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

Another problem in the 206 is not a problem as such , but a handling characteristic of the car chasis. The 206 has a oversteering tendency, specialy in brake-in-turn situations. While this is not a handling fault and makes the car capable in expert driver hands its pretty unexpected and dangerous in the average drive of a 206: The novice drivers . The 206, being a supermini, cheap and with high power versions like the 2.0 16v it appeals to new young unexperienced drivers, some of wich drive it uncarefully. This resulted in a high accident ratio. But it should be blamed in the Driver`s careless behaviour more than in the car itself (like black legends about rear whell drive cars)

I got a good website as a referance to problems with 206s. The Peugeot 206 Info Exchange, it has a forum where people can report their 206 problems. This is the forum. 71.98.142.179 18:08, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
