Hi Petter, thanks for your contributions and welcome to Wikipedia! I spotted you at Sango language; as you might have seen, Wikipedia is always in need of more editors in the area of Africa and African languages. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- How to edit a page
- Editing, policy, conduct, and structure tutorial
- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Naming conventions
- Manual of Style
- If you're ready for the complete list of Wikipedia documentation, there's also Wikipedia:Topical index.
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using four tildes (~~~~); it produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome!
Congrats on your work on the C.A.R. I wish me could have such detailed articles on all the towns and villages in Africa. Far too many including state articles are stubs ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 14:32, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
I know there is a whole world out there in Africa but geographically the coverage on the internet wikipedia is unfortunately incredibly sparse in relation to the enormous coverage of other places. There must be at least a potential 1 million African articles. I hate seeing stubs but this is all we can do until the info is relayed online. Fortunately I have found a bit of info on African wildlife such as conservation which I am using to create a wildlife series (which should have been started back in 2001) ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 12:08, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Eliedote.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Eliedote.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. NotifyBot (talk) 13:08, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
