[edit] Re: Qingzang Railway
It's obviously not vandalising. Please refer to talk:Qingzang railway for details. :-) — Instantnood 16:54, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- Editing an article introducing a POV is generally regarded as a form of vandalsim. If you want to find a more NPOV way of putting the edit, you can always request a comment at WP:RFC. Cheers! -- Wizardry Dragon (Talk to Me) (Support Neutrality on Wikipedia) 16:57, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Need your help.
Dear User:Wizardry_Dragon,
I would like to share a dispute with you in short.
A user User:Marwatt, is keep on changing any edits made on article Marwat, if the editing doesn't fits "his standard". Instead of going through Wikipedia's policy, he has started the personal enmity.
I am a sort of strict person from behaviour. So instead of approaching any Administrators first, I started doing something against WP policy, as I was unaware of policies. That even led me to be banned by a fellow administrator. But I still have sympathy for that administrator, even I think it was unfair.
Now, when I understood that I must approach to Administrators, I found you the best as you yourself are the one who wish to make WP a neutral and free of disputes. As it seems that I will get a justice from you, like I hope the same from User:Addhoc, a very good and calm administrator.
I assure and challenge, with vow and guarantee that if you overview whole of the case and discuss some points, you will really find USer: Marwatt guilty for making WP un-neutral and un-accurate.
Once again, I would like to make a plea to you and User: Addhoc that you both be a third party and overview the case by giving all of us (The both parties) to clarify their claims and disputes.
You be the judge and provide the justice.
Now you better understand that if I feel I am guilty I will never demand you to be a third party nor will make a challenge and nor will discuss my edits on Talk Page of Marwat, as User: Marwatt who is not discussing any edits on the Talk Page even after requested by USer: Addhoc.
Regards, Begger of Justice,
A M. Khan 17:34, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- I'll give the case a good look over tomorrow when I have a greater amount of time on my hands to go through these times. If I find that you could have done things differently, I'll tell you, same with Marwatt. As to more "binding" justice - I am not an administrator of Wikipedia - I can't block anyone, just bring them to the attention of Administrators if they are doing things for which they should be blocked. -- Wizardry Dragon (Talk to Me) (Support Neutrality on Wikipedia) 01:51, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] User:Wizardry Dragon/Ultima Dragons
You've had this deleted article in your userspace for a month and haven't edited it. Do you still need it? --Sam Blanning(talk) 00:51, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, sorry - I haven't had a lot of time to do the kind of digging I need to get the article up to WP:V - however I fully intend to. Thanks for the heads up! 01:43, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
-
- Could you perhaps move it offline until you are ready to work on it? Having deleted articles indefinitely in userspace brings up 'WP:NOT free web hosting' concerns. --Sam Blanning(talk) 13:16, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

-
- Sure thing. Even better, I'll move it to my personal MediaWiki install. -- Wizardry Dragon (Talk to Me) (Support Neutrality on Wikipedia) 16:28, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] List of Ultima characters
I note that you're involved in Ultima (and I take it from your username that you're a fellow Dragon), so I thought I might ask if you'd be interested in checking over List of Ultima characters, an article which I've just created. The tables have lots of blank entries which are due to my faulty memory and my never having played Akalabeth or the two Underworlds. —Psychonaut 19:07, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
- Indeed, I am, as the userbox states :) I'll take a look when I have the moment. Thanks for reverting the garbage vandalism, btw. -- Wizardry Dragon (Talk to Me) (Support Neutrality on Wikipedia) 19:09, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] POV-check
Since you're involved with the Neutrality Project, I thought I'd ask if there's any way of encouraging people to check an article for bias/neutrality besides slapping a {{POV-check}} on the page. I've browsed through the category for that template and note that lots of the articles were tagged months ago but haven't garnered any comments. Isn't a list-type page like Wikipedia:Peer review which deals with POV checks? Or perhaps, as the head of the Neutrality Project, you know of someone in the Project who would be willing to review the political page I just self-nominated? —Psychonaut 19:23, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
- I can look over it myself, if you wish. The project seems largley inactive other than CP/M and myself (who are it's two "administrators"), so if I can't figure out how to change it, I'm sure CP/M will. -- Wizardry Dragon (Talk to Me) (Support Neutrality on Wikipedia) 19:25, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
-
- Sure. It's Socialist Studies (1989). —Psychonaut 19:29, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
-
-
- Give me a day or two and I'll post a detailed analysis on the article talk page, if there's something wrong, or that it's fine, if it checks out. Cheers! -- Wizardry Dragon (Talk to Me) (Support Neutrality on Wikipedia) 19:45, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] VP2
Stop using VP2 when users are trying to solve editing disputes. Your use of VP2 is becoming a loose cannon and to think you said you'd stop using it in a previous talk here! Idleguy 20:15, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
One does not solve editing disputes by a Revert war. See WP:3RR. -- Wizardry Dragon (Talk to Me) (Support Neutrality on Wikipedia) 20:38, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
- You came in AFTER the 3RR was down. See WP:CITE. I have cited them all from neutral/reliable sources. Idleguy 21:03, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
-
- I think you misunderstand the issue. If you are involved in a dispute about an article, it is best to recuse yourself from editing for 24 hours. I wasn't reverting because of the content, rather the 3RR violation. Again, read WP:3RR, it explains how to avoid 3RR violations. Thanks. -- Wizardry Dragon (Talk to Me) (Support Neutrality on Wikipedia) 22:17, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] RfA thanks
- You're welcome. I have every confidence that you will administer with integrity and excellence. Cheers! -- Wizardry Dragon (Talk to Me) (Support Neutrality on Wikipedia) 22:26, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] My Edits to Marwat
Thanks for your sincere advice on my talk page. I definitely know that my reverting of edits could be seen as proving a point but exactly the same goes for the other person (User:A M. Khan). He and his few other sock puppets are trying to push POV entries in several articles and I have filed a case for checking his sock puppets and their vandalism (check the RFCU page over here [1]). I think you should try to see the whole issue in its entirety as this User:A M. Khan was earlier on banned as well for using abusive language and vandalizing the article on Marwat by administrator [User:The JPS]. I am just trying to revert his POV entries such as inserting the names of non-entities who does not fulfill the criteria of WP:BIO. His POV entry of Akhtar Munir Marwat is a glaring example of this as he and his other sock puppets also tried to create a separate page for this gentleman and which was eventually deleted after a consensus (check the deletion log over here [2]). I am a sensible editor and repeatedly trying to tell this other user in a civil way that this entry does not fulfill the criteria of WP:BIO on the discussion page of Marwat but instead the other user became abusive (check the discussion page over here [3]). So keep faith that whatever I am doing is for the integrity of Wikipedia. Once again thank you for your concern and I hope that this clarifies certain points in your mind. --Marwatt 22:28, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
- I would remind you that the conduct of one user does not excuse misconduct of your own. If you have an article that is being contended as such, in the future, I recommend that you pursue a WP:RfC to gain some consensus. If he is being persistant, as you say, and I am inclined to believe, then your best course of action is to report him to an administrator. If you don't know of any, I can point you to several that have been helpful with me in the past. Cheers! -- Wizardry Dragon (Talk to Me) (Support Neutrality on Wikipedia) 22:32, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

- You know what, that might really become handy, especially when the other person is consistent in his POV. Can you suggest some experienced Admn. I'll appreciate that. --Marwatt 01:55, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

- User:HereToHelp has a very well-chosen username :) Also, User:Saxifrage may be new, but he can probably help too. Cheers! -- ✎ Wizardry Dragon (Talk to Me) (Support Neutrality on Wikipedia) 01:56, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
