I've noted that a well-known and respected name contributes his excellent motorsport knowledge also to wiki now.  :-) --Matthead 19:42, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Zo, ve meet again, Englischer !!

It was you who used to answer the phone saying "Geshtapo Headkvarters!" wasn't it ? Anyway, this is Dave Jones, Derwent, Chemistry, BA 1974, D. Phil (incomplete) 1977, now software guy (unemployed) 2006 (until Monday, hopefully). How's life in the People's Republic of Fulford ? Good to see you're still scrivening away. [edit] Nick Vujicic

Hi! I noticed you voted a strong delete in the Nick Vujicic AFD discussion, because it reads like spam. As I am currently re-writing the article, what sorts of things would you like to change? I tend to edit so I can save articles from deletion, and I think that this article really has some potential, after a re-write. Your opinion (and contributions on the article?) wanted! [edit] Hello

Hi Pete - just spotted you on an AfD discussion. Didn't realise (I suppose why would I?) that you were another WP addict... Cheers, Sam Clark 15:33, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] F1-related articles

Hi Pete. I recognise your name from TNF, where I post under my real name (David Hyland). Thanks for all the great info you have recently added to the articles for some of Formula One's "lesser lights" (LEC, Kauhsen, Tecno, etc). Keep up the good work! DH85868993 01:50, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] evolutionary astrology

Hi Pete,

Thank you for commenting on my entry about evolutionary astrology. This was my first attempt at an entry on a subject as required by a university class.I just read the "Don't Bite the Newbies" and feel that you are in violation of that set of guidelines.

I notice that astrology isn't one of your topics of interest so it is possible that you didn't have the background to follow the 'crud'. I certainly wouldn't have the capacity or interest to focus on battleships, London, etc. as they aren't relevant to my life.

I also find Wikipedia confusing on the fine line between 'commercial' and 'informative' and chose to follow Jeff Green's lead in explaining evolutionary astrology since he created it. I didn't intend it to be a book review and didn't want to be accused of plagerism, etc. It wasn't a plug for Green either....he could care less. In fact, he'd probably consider Wikipedia and all its authors, users and editors in the first evolutionary state: the herd mentality.

As I troll articles on 'award winning' games, and other cultural nonsense, I'd have to agree.
