[edit] Use of Edit Summaries

  • Hey there. I'm going to assume good faith, and believe that you are in fact who you say you are, and not a sock or meat puppet. Anyways, you seem to be falling into a cycle that User:ED209 is fond of using, and I figured I'd give you a heads up. If you identify a content problem with an article, the correct way of going about it is to bring the issue up on the talk page, discuss the problem there, and when a consensus is reached, change the article. Constant reverts and edit warring, using the edit summaries as a conversation tool, is not the proper way to go about these things. Thanks. -- pm_shef 01:54, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

Ok, I am new to editing here. I have been watching the excitment for a couple weeks now. I just made a couple edits prior to reading your message.--Pete's Watching 01:57, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

  • Sorry, I just realized that my message may have not made sense. It's great that you fill in the edit summaries, its important that they contain a summary of the edit, you just don't want to use them to edit war. Hope that makes more sense! - pm_shef 02:03, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
