Regarding my edit of Fresh Meadows on 2/20/2007, I offer the following:

Peterb987's family was one of the early tenants in Fresh Meadows and lived there while parts of the complex were still under construction. The reason that I know that Fresh Meadows was not a Met Life project, but a New York Life project is because my father was an architect who worked for New York Life and he supervised some of the construction. Our address in Fresh Meadows in 1949 was 67-02-F 188th St.
