Educated at various times at City of London School, Worcester College, Oxford (BA Maths and Philosophy), Royal Holloway (MSc in Applied Social Studies/DipSW) and London South Bank University (working on MPhil/PhD on theory, knowledge and practice in mental health social work).

I have worked both as a computer programmer and as a social worker.

Interests include music of various genres, science fiction, philosophy, football, (especially Chelsea F.C.,) ancient history and myth, (especially Troy and the Trojan War,) and social work.

Note I have occasionally edited from my university IP address User:136.148.1.142 when I have had problems logging on to Wikipedia from there. Please do not confuse that with sockpuppetry. Addition or expansion of articles on individual operas to include plot synopses. The Cunning Peasant, Blond Eckbert, The Silver Tassie and Der Prinz von Homburg and Die Feen already completed. Assorted operas of Smetana and other Czechs next on agenda as part of WP:Opera's September composers of the month drive. Planned Opera articles to create or to add plot synopses to:

This makes over twenty opera articles that I plan to work on this year. If you feel able to work on any of them, do please let me know.

Work on WP:Wagner's piloting of assessments for WP:WPO as a whole. 4/13.5 operas assessed so far.

Getting Troilus to A-Class under WP:Mythology. Identifying opera article to work on with aim of GA.

I have created the follwing articles: The Cunning Peasant, The Silver Tassie, Hilary Bailey, Blond Eckbert and Karl Ridderbusch.

I have expanded the following articles from stubs: Der Prinz von Homburg and Il Filostrato.

Assessed article improvements:

  • Troilus from unassessed stub?start -> B -> GA. Also the basis of the Spanish equivalent rated as artículo destacado.
  • Die Feen from unassessed stub?start -> B (WP:Wagner)
  • Wieland Wagner from stub to B/Start depending on project

I have expanded or otherwise contributed significantly to the following additional articles: Mother Teresa, David Langford and Poppers.
