[edit] Notes on the article
This article incorporates essentially all of the information we could find on Pettigrew State Park, so if there are missing topics or details, we are not sure they can be found. The semi-automated peer review script has been run on the article and it finds several apparent errors which are not actually there (as noted). I believe that this article meets the criteria for GA. Any feedback on it will be greatly appreciated. I will seek to make any changes requested. Dincher 19:27, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
The following suggestions were generated by a semi-automatic javascript program, and might not be applicable for the article in question.
- Watch for redundancies that make the article too wordy instead of being crisp and concise. (You may wish to try Tony1's redundancy exercises.)
- Vague terms of size often are unnecessary and redundant - “some”, “a variety/number/majority of”, “several”, “a few”, “many”, “any”, and “all”. For example, “
Allpigs are pink, so we thought ofa number ofways to turn them green.”- DoneDincher 23:33, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] GA on hold
I have reviewed this article according to the requirements of the GA criteria and have placed the article on hold at this time until the following issues are addressed:
- "Pettigrew State Park is open for year-round recreation including," Remove the comma after "including". Do the same in the "Recreation" section. Done Dincher 04:45, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
- "Pettigrew State Park was established during the Great Depression after the land leased..." Reword to "after the land was leased". Done Dincher 04:45, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
- "of a 99 year lease". Add a hyphen in between 99-year. Done Dincher 04:45, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
- For the section "Animal life" can you mention which types of fish are in the lake (perhaps bring the information from the "Recreation" section into this one)? Also, in the intro, instead of just mentioning the waterfowl, also mention some of the birds, fish, and mammals found in the park. If you can, consider adding a picture or two of one of the animals to the section (also for plant life as well). 2 pics added Dincher 19:09, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
Altogether, the article doesn't have many problems and is close to GA status. The article has some great pictures, but could use a few more. If you have any questions or when you are done with the above issues, let me know on my talk page and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. --Nehrams2020 03:53, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

- I believe that I have made all the corrections and additions that have been requested. I wouldn't be surprised if I made new mistakes in punctuation and spelling. Dincher 19:48, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] GA passed
Since the above issues were addressed, I have passed this article according to the requirements of the GA criteria. Continue to improve the article, making sure that all new information is properly sourced. I reworded one of the sentences in the intro since it sounded a little redundant of a prior sentence and also removed an extra period. The new pictures were a great improvement. To anyone that is reading this review, please consider reviewing an article or two at WP:GAN to help with the large backlog. Instructions can be found here. Keep up the good work, and I hope that you continue to bring articles up to Good Article status. If you have any further questions about this review, let me know on my talk page and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. I have updated the article history to reflect this review. Happy editing! --Nehrams2020 04:40, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
