[edit] copyrights
Article says: "Many of the black-and-white episodes are now in the public domain, their copyrights having lapsed" That can't be true, it's much too recent. (I can't believe I'm posting about Petticoat Junction!) --GangofOne 22:07, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
- With many TV series (I don't know if the law has changed now), copyright had to be renewed every 27 years. Between 1990 and 1992, Filmways did not renew their copyright contract with the show and the episodes, and they went into the public domain. Mike H. but it is true. There are many cheapo public domain DVDs of the show, with a theme song change, because a) the theme song remains under copyright while b) the actual program content copyright lasped. Other examples include episodes of "The Andy Griffith Show" and "The Lucy Show". Jude86 03:28, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Motel?
Even though the article and the first section states Shady Rest Hotel, the picture and the following section state Shady Rest Motel. I've never seen the show, so which is it? RockRNC 23:26, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
