This really needs some material on Carey's recurring themes, such as Australian identity and historical context, and maybe some coverage of his relationship to post-colonialismDalziel 86 10:48, 31 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed Accuracy of Divorce

I am concerned about defamation as the biography of Carey contains information I consider unverified and potentially fake or untrue. There is only one source of particular information regarding Carey's relationship with his ex-wife, and this comes from a website which I would consider unreliable and definitely not a NPOV. If anybody has a reliable source, please include it soon as I am considering removing the mention of the "DatingPsychos.com" post soon. DanielBC 09:05, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

I agree. THis pages name "dating Pyschos" says it all cannot be taken as factual. should be removed. user: mango —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 210.189.164.104 (talkcontribs) 00:12, 29 November 2006.

I have removed the paragraph concerning the website 'DatingPsychos.com', as I do not believe it is poorly sourced/unverified and as the box at the top of this page states: "Controversial material of any kind that is unsourced or poorly sourced must be removed immediately, especially if potentially libelous." If the page author cannot be verified as the person they claim to be, I believe this material is poorly sourced and libelous. --DanielBC 09:32, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:PeterCarey.jpg

Image:PeterCarey.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
