[edit] Craig Blair?
Okay, I just want to make sure that Pete Capella and Craig Blair are not the same person. People EVERYWHERE are saying that they are the same, but I am 100% sure they are not. Anybody know for certain? --PAK Man Talk 13:18, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Chazz instead of Jaden?
I have noticed that Chazz's voice seems to have changed, even though it's supposedly Pete Capella, supposedly Jaden's VA, who has moved to CA. Also, it seems to me that Chazz's VA is the same as Silver the Hedgehog's, who is confirmed to be Pete Capella. What I want to know is where it has ever been stated exactly which VA plays which character, because 4Kids only puts the general list in their credits (in alphebetical order), and there's no way to change the info without written proof. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Batwing321 (talk • contribs)
- Well, there really is no place that officially states the cast unless the VA says who he/she plays. What most people do is take confirmed roles by various VAs and compare them to the unknown character. That's what I do when I try to figure out Pokémon roles are played by certain actors. It's considered original research, which actually isn't allowed, but if many people agree on it, I think it's okay to post. Pete Capella is a strange case in that he worked for 4Kids under pseudonyms. I think Jeff Berman was the one he used for Pokémon. People claim he's Craig Blair, but I'm 100% sure he's not. But I digress. --PAK Man Talk 20:41, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] VA Confusion; We need consensus, people!
Okay, I talked to Pete Capella over MySpace. Basically, he didn't tell me he played, but he mentioned that a lot of the info about him on Wiki is wrong (he's even tried to change it himself, but it kept getting messed up.) In short, he said it was pretty much a losing battle (but gave props for trying.) Also, like PAKMAN said, usually VA's for characters are figured out by comparing them to known roles, and that even though it's technically original research and against the rules, it's often accepted if there's a common consensus about it. I think it's high time we try to figure this thing out about Chazz and Jaden's true VAs (Again, for the record, I tried to get it from the Capella's mouth, but didn't get a straight answer.) We can't just go by "This info was here first" clause, because it stands to be revised. I mean, just listen to Silver (Capella's totally confirmed role); if we compared him to Jaden and Chazz, who would it be said to be? Sure, we gotta try to get proof (if anyone wants to talk to Capella themselves, power to ya), but we also need to apply some logic here, a little "original research". Maybe without total proof it won't do squat, but if we can't go by 4Kids' ambiguous crediting system, and we don't have an answer from the man himself, what's there left to do? Listen up and figure it out ourselves with what we do verifiably know. All I have to go on is Silver; if anyone has another character that you're sure sounds like Chazz or Jaden, or you know one of their supposed VA's confirmed roles, speak up! Maybe he's right and that it is a losing battle to change it, but I'm not going to back down just yet, thank you very much. So tell me: who wants to figure this out once and for all, and not just settle for the wrong info rotting it the water like this?Batwing321 03:22, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
- It's made even more difficult by the fact that Capella didn't use his real name in the credits of 4Kids shows. I know all that information about him working for DP is dead wrong, because he lives in LA now. He's probably not going to say what name he was credited under, because if he's like other VAs, he's probably part of a union and he worked on a non-union show (as all of 4Kids shows are). I'd be glad to help, but I don't watch Yu-Gi-Oh, and as a result, am not sure of what Capella sounds like.
- Chazz, I've heard, is done by a guy named Anthony Salerno. If you want a reference on him, I know several episodes of Pokémon he was in. He played Bart in Unfair-Weather Friends, Anthony from Deceit and Assist and Rhapsody in Drew, as well as Clark and Gilbert, two of Ash's Hoenn League opponents. I know this because for Pokémon, 4Kids only lists the actors who appeared in those episodes. A character with the voice shared by all of these appeared in episodes where Salerno was credited. Again, I don't watch Yu-Gi-Oh, so I can't confirm this. --PAK Man Talk 20:02, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

- Semi-official info: Capella cannot be both "Matthew Charles" and "Christopher C. Adams": they're credited separately in the Yu-Gi-Oh GX credits (check it out: Adams is first in the VA list, while Charles is third or fourth). Which one is actually a Capella alias, however, I cannot say.

- Well, supposedly he confirmed that he was Matthew Charles on MySpace. However, I don't know if he would admit that, because he doesn't seem to want to reveal who he played in any series. Why would an actor like him (who is probably unionized) admit his pseudonym? I think that would be a bad move on his part. That's my opinion, anyway. I've tended to realize a lot of VAs don't like their pseudonyms revealed. --PAK Man Talk 02:55, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

- In any case, given that inaccuracies of omission are preferable to outright incorrect information, I think it would be best to separate the characters known to be played by Christopher C. Adams (TMNT Fast Forward's Cody Jones, Yu-Gi-Oh GX's Jesse Andersen (I'm 90% sure), and whichever others I don't know about) into a separate entry.

[edit] 4Kids
If 4Kids goes, who will voice Silver the Hedgehog?
